March 2014 : Term 1

Our first BookTalk was held at 'Off The Track' in Havelock North.  MmmmmMmmmm.  Yummy food.  Lovely venue, but I think a group of librarians was a bit too noisy for an inside meeting ;-)  And we had to leave when they were ready to close up, which meant no lingering over our discussions.  Oh well ... we live and learn!

The theme for our first BookTalk was to share our favourite reads of the past 12 months.

Children's Fiction:

Wings of Fire Bk1 Dranonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland

- Great concept but the story just didn't work


YA Fiction:

Ashes Bk3 Monsters by Ilsa J. Beck

- First two books were A-MA-ZING!!!
- Book 3 has the worst ending - aaaargh!  And the story just didn't meet the standards of the first two.
